Friedensreich Hundertwasser

In the Wake of the Vienna Secession

Creative Director: Gianfranco Iannuzzi
Design and Production: Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto, Massimiliano Siccardi
Graphic & Animation Design: Cutback
Production: Culturespaces Digital®

Created with the support of the Hundertwasser Foundation, this exhibition immerses visitors in the work of painter and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 – 2000), who carried forward the spirit of the Vienna Secession several decades after its heyday, in an artistic revival of the revolution instigated by Klimt.

The exhibition begins in a large, dynamic fresco composed of forms and colors that take shape with the rhythm of the music. Irregularly shaped windows animate brightly colored paintings, and layers of curving lines create a utopian world. The visitors enter the scene and become part of the work: an explosion of color in which the life force and the elements of nature unfold in an endless spiral.

Direction and Design: Nohlab
Production: Culturespaces Digital®

5 Movements is a 10-minute immersive audiovisual experience created by the interdisciplinary art, design, and technology studio Nohlab. The exhibition follows five dancers across five musical movements. Abstract effects reverberate throughout the venue and seem to be created by the dancers themselves. The result is a highly personal experience of bodies in space and time, conveying the emotion and essence of motion in three dimensions.

Designed exclusively for Culturespaces, Recoding Entropia is an immersive film experience by François Vautier, reflecting on the vastness of the mind’s possibilities. The viewer is plunged into an unfathomable void with boundless horizons, where motionless forms jolt violently to life in an evolutionary process that at first seems beyond comprehension, yet opens into a bewitching drama.
